Hi, I am a complete beginner to Aikido, and would like to sit in on a class and see whether or not I would be interested. Is this possible?
    Thank you,

I am interested in signing up a good friend who has always wanted to learn Aikido as a birthday gift. I believe it will help him deal with stress from school. Do you offer gift certificates / offers so I can pay his class fee for him?

We don’t have gift certificates per se, however you can certainly pay for your friend’s classes and we will honor that payment. Just send us your friend’s name so we know who he or she is. If you like, we can send your friend a message confirming that the classes have been paid for.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
      Thanks for contacting us!

I have no prior experience with Aikido, but am very interested in the practice. I was wondering if the $100 quarterly class fee covered all Monday and Wednesday classes. I was also wondering if it would it be acceptable for me to miss class from time to time, as I work during those hours three days out of the month. Thank you for your time.

Hello Aaron, thanks for contacting us! No prior experience is required to come to class, and yes, the quarterly fee covers all classes. Regarding missing class, we have several members who miss class every once in a while for work or personal reasons; we completely understand people have various obligations. You are welcome to come any day. If you arrive about 15 minutes before class, we can show you around, answer any questions you might have, and help you get settled in. Looking forward to meeting you!

I am interested in signing up for the class.
I have never done any martial arts.
When is the earliest that I can start since fees are accepted quarterly?
Where can I get a uniform for the class?

      Dear Amy,

      Thank you for contacting us.
You can join our class at any time, regardless of prior experience. Many of our members have not done martial arts before.
We will prorate your fees based on when you start during the quarter.
Regarding a uniform, we can also sell you one once you have paid your dues.

Hope this helps! If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Hello Torrance Aikido Club,

I used to practice Aikido several years ago in another state but since I moved to California, I have not
practiced it. I would like to start practicing it again just to get a good workout each week. I noticed that your dues are paid quarterly. Should I begin joining the class in January since it is already November?
    Thank you,
